This thread is just a series of little question back and forth - it should be fun - there are no strict rules, just that if you answer a question then you should have a little question to ask.

Example:

Question: Do you have any tattoos?

Answer: Heck no!! That sounds much too painful for me!

Question: What is your dream vacation spot?

Okay now for reals:

Question: Do you speak any foriegn languages?

Answer: I can't remember - but I'm sure that it had to be something related to school.

Question: Why do message boards come and go and have bugs in them it seems? I'm so sad - the Beethoven Reference Board now gives me errors and the Charlotte Martin board has been gone for like 3 days!!!

Yes, our board was down for a couple days, all is fixed. Our programmer will be debugging all boards over the next two weeks.

that's not too hard of a decision - Horowitz!

Q: which do you like better fully orchestrated music or chamber music?

it depends on ... I think Mahler and Chamber orchestra isn't to relate to Vivaldi and Chamber ... but I say Chamber cause I love to watch the artists. In an orchestra you cannot take a look at one specific player.

what was your first classic concert ever?

(I was together with my parents very proud at the Kreuzkirche in Dresden at Christmas in 1983 and the Kreuzchor sang the Christmas Oratorium and well my Mom is still very amused when she speaks about it ... the music starts and I fall asleep. When everything was finished I woke up and asked: "What that's all?" Very Happy

I think since that time I got that great relationship to classic music.

In 1985 I went to see Vincent Price recite EAPoe's 'Bells' and 'The Raven' with the San Jose Symphony accompanying. I didn't recognize the pieces they played while he spoke. They played other pieces as well but I don't recall what they were...All I remember was being 2 rows into the orchestra pit away from Vincent Price Very Happy

Who are your 3 favourite composers?

(JSBach, Arnold Schoenberg, Frank Zappa)

Answer: I love the Bach Partitas - I find them to be very soothing when I feel stressed, so I would say that is my fave. It used to be the Goldberg Variations until the movie Silence of the Lambs destroyed them for me.

Question: How often to you go out and hear live music? (classical or otherwise)

About 4 nights a week. I play full time.

Q. Have you ever fallen asleep during a live concert? And if so, what were they playing?
