| Does anyone know of a piece of music that was originally written for the pedal harpsichord? Everything that I have heard played on it has either been written for the organ or just a regular harpsichord. I enjoy the pedal harpsichord much more than just a regular harpsichord. I think it adds a lot more depth and richness. |

It could be i.e. BWV 525-530.
"It is not quite certain whether Bach primarily considered the organ or a pedal clavier with two manuals (harpsichord or clavichord) for the execution of the sonatas. His designation >for 2 claviers and pedal< is somewhat ambigious" - Geiringer, Karl; JSB; p.238 |
