Oh my goodness, yes! It was during a performance of Tchaikovsky's "Serenade for Strings" While I was at a music festival in Colorado. I cant stand that piece. It puts me to sleep every time I hear it.

What is the most embarassing thing you have done during a performance?
(for me, it was dropping a pair of cymbals during a concert)

Briefly stopping playing, at a school piano recital.

It seemed like half an hour, but it was probably only a few awkward seconds. Even so, the sensation of four hundred pairs of eyes staring into the side of my head was more than enough to convince me that my chances of becoming a professional pianist were nil. I haven't performed in public since.

Question: Your house is on fire (hypothetically!). You can take 1 recording, 1 book and 1 other item with you. What are they?

Dave

Hi Dave,

thanks for playing the question section! (i mean that in earnest - I know tone of voice can be hard to hear in a message).

Do you have a question for us? The way this game is played is by alternating questions and answers - that keeps it going. There is a description on page one.

Nice to meet you!

Best wishes,
Melody

I love music because it calms me when I'm frantic, it reminds me that there is a ton of good in the world, and I often I feel like that listening to music is celebrating a musician and/or writer's great talent.

Question: what's the weather right now like where ever you are ?

The weather in Spamtown is not so hot. It's really cold right now and it's really foggy. Anyone who lives down south is really lucky because up here it gets dark at about 4:30-5 ish. Yuk! Mad #Puppy dog

Does anyone out there like SPAM? (the meat, not the junk e-mail)

It tastes pretty good when its grilled. I just don't like having to smell it from the factory every day.

Sorry, nope - I'm just not much of a meat eater.

Question: How do you take your coffee (if at all)?

Yuk, I don't like coffee. I tried putting loads of cream and sugar in it once and it still didn't drown out the taste.

Coffee is my friend. I love coffee, and I'll take it in many different and exciting ways.

When I played an eighth note later than the cut off. It was an accented note and I had the largest viola (principal was away, had to take over), and it was very noticeable.
