Hi^

my name is Ivan, 16 years old high school student from Indonesia~ I'm playing piano since 8 years ago and also sing Alto on my school choir although i'm a boy^ (I'm studying in St. John De Britto High School, it's a boy only school~no gilrz Rolling Eyes

)

I started to like Bach when I recognized that bach music is different and has something special in it... I dont know what is it... is it because it's polyphonic or anything else, but his music is totally different... It's touching, even if it's played using MIDI.. unlike another composer's work, it will become 'empty' if it's played on MIDI form. but Bach's doesn't. Bach's work doesnt need so many expression to make it touching. When I listen to his music, i think that maybe it was God who composed the music through Bach.
I'm very addicted to Bach. Not only because of his amazing work, but also his life story, he's a devout Christian and did everything for the glory of God.

I hope that many more people will realize how beautiful Bach's music is. and.. oh ya... I HATE rock music,i think it's satanic and meaningless.

By the way, how old is everyone here? What's the average age? From a quick browsing of the forums, everyone seems to be very young, right?

Hi, I just joined a few minutes ago. I recently bought the Bach Edition (155 CDs here in the U.S.) and am in the midst of playing them. So far, they sound great and the performances are fine. I really love most of the great (and not so great) composers. As a result I have a massive collection of classical music.
