Hello.
I "re-found" this lovely forum, after searching for Bach groups...
I'm currently listening to Bach's perfect BWV 548, Fugue.
(yes, while writing this message!).
I believe that this amazingly-well-organized work, is one of the greatest musical ideas Bach had had. The beautiful, rich dialogue between the high tone and the low tone, the complexity and charm of the fugue's motive are a charm to me.
3:21~ - is where bach takes the idea, a minor motive, into a new top;
4:00~ and further - I imagine a long, endless ladder, on which one can climb. It is simply fantastic!
So far, I found no original musical ideas as such, which I can compare to this majestic piece of work.
Mostly recomended - the minutes I listed above.
Enjoy!
