I must agree with you here.
My favorite recorded version of Concerto No. 5 (so far) is by Tafelmusik with Jeanne Lamon as conductor. The harpsichord solo gives me chills.
I also love Allegro versions of Concertos 2 & 3, and Concerto No. 6 is of course godly. I like to load a huge play list with multiple versions of all the Brandenburg Concertos and just let it play continuously - this does wonders for my mood.  |
