Next week (early Feb. 2004), the Boston Symphony will be performing C.P.E. Bach's Cello Concerto in A, H. 439, on several dates. I expect that WGBH and/or WCRB will be broadcasting it, and it may be on Internet broadcast. Performances of his music by major orchestras aren't that common, so this is worth catching.
I haven't heard as much of C.P.E. Bach's music as I'd like, but I've enjoyed what I've heard. It's full of surprises. _________________ http://www.mcgath.com |
